Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, also known as the Pond of God, starts with a cave; the water pours from its ceiling and is gathered in a pool naturally to later flows into sea direction falling two times more. Due to the water abundance, this is a truly botanic area, plenty of subtropical flora and fauna. In May of every even-numbered year, there is celebrated the Chilseonyeo Festival which means seven nymphs, part of the legends of the place.

In the island, there are 45 remarkable statues called Dolharubang (Grandfather Stones). According to a study, these were sculpted between 1754 and 1765. There are three main stories about the origin of the statues, one of them say that these were built to scare off invaders. Therefore, these were located outside the eastern, western, and southern gates of the Jeju City fortress as guardian deities.
