Stopping Automatic Updating on Mobile Devices
Andriod Instruction
- Click open the “PLAY STORE” app.
- Then click the bar with three lines next to the search bar.
- Scroll down till you see settings, click it.
- Then you will see the words “Auto-update apps,” click it.
- A Box will open up and ask what you would like to do. Check “DO NOT AUTO-UPDATE APPS”.
- And you are done.
Reasoning: This process will prevent you from exceeding your data limit quickly.
Apple Instruction
- Open the iPhone app “SETTINGS”.
- Scroll down the settings page until you spot “iTunes & App Store”, then click it.
- In the setting you will see the title under your Apple ID “Automatic Downloads”. Then uncheck each and every button that lights green on this page.
- And you are done.
